Texas - Davis Mountains

Located in far West Texas and north of Big Bend National Park. These mountains form a high plateau of relatively temperate vegetation in what is termed a "sky island" which is perched above the surrounding drier and warmer Chihuahua Desert. It is a wonderful place of storied lore, wide open spaces, and old western frontier towns that pique the imagination and inspire the soul.
