The Vanderveer House
The Vanderveer House, or as popularly known simply as 'The Bluebonnet House' is one of the most photographed Texas Hill Country and rightly so! Driving North out of Marble Falls One is taken by utter surprise by its sublime rustic beauty and especially so in the Springtime when it is clothed in spectacular bluebonnets - the Texas State flower. The native stone house was built in 1853 by Logan Vanderveer - veteran of the Texas War of Independence and a member of General Sam Houston's 900 member army who fought Santa Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836.
