Panalpina - Offshore Oil & Gas Equipment Transport - Corpus Christi, TX
This impressive project involved the transfer of 3 oversized pieces of offshore oil/gas rig equipment: a heliport, crew quarters, and a controls building. This transfer consisted of the equipment manufacturer in Ingleside, TX, and the end user: an Argentinian offshore oil & gas producer. The entire move was engineered, administered, and coordinated by Panalpina Energy Solutions of Humble, TX - part of the international Swiss-Based consortium: Panalpina World Transport. The 3 pieces of equipment were first loaded onto a barge at the manufacturers facility in Ingleside, TX and then transported through Aransas Pass to a ocean going cargo ship, at the Port of Corpus Christi, and eventually transported to an Argentinian offshore rig. The whole process was completed over a 2 week period with a 3 day delay due to cold, wet, and windy weather at the Port of Corpus Christi, TX.
